Munira Isak Hussein

Munira is Co-founder and Executive director of Baar Environmental Solidarity (BES),She Holds Master’s degree in human nutrition from Haramaya University in Ethiopia, her expertise lies in Food, water, agricultural policy, health diets, urban food system and climate change, however, because of her Bachelor degree in Midwifery Munira previously involved promoting and training local midwives and providing consultation with child bearing mothers, she has taken part in various facilitations towards youth and women empowerment, in an attempt to reduce HIV transmission and pregnant related complications and preventing maternal and infant deaths Miss Hussein encouraged pregnant mothers to avoid unskilled traditional midwives during delivery.

IT Manager

Ali manages the Baar Environmental Solidarity computer system and IT department and responsible for the computer programming that is required to calculate the Baar environmental solidarity accounts, he is also responsible for the design ,implementation and maintenance of the database systems, however, Ali has a good backgrounds in programing , database management and system administration . Ali's professionals are study, design, develop, implement, support, and manage computer-based information systems of the organization, including both software applications and computer hardware.

Mahamoud Hussein Abdulahi holds an MSc in Natural Resource Management and Rural Development from the Swedish University of Agricultural Science (SLU), Uppsala. (https://www.slu.se/) and short course on Climate Change Leadership: Power Politics and Culture from Uppsala University, Sweden. http://www.cemus.uu.se/ , he also holds BA in Organizational Management (OM) from the International Leadership Institute (ILI) Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. https://www.iliedu.com/ , Similarly, Mr Abdullahi gained an advanced Diploma in electrical engineering from Mogadishu Technical and Commercial Teachers College (polytechnic).Mr Abdullahi has 18 years of experience managing development and policy programs with governmental and non-governmental organizations.,these include leadership roles in urban planning, development, and oversight of municipalities under the Bureau of Works and Urban Development (BOWUD) of the Somali region in Ethiopia. Mr Abdullahi participated in Leadership and managerial post in running macro-planning programs and researching population-related issues in Ethiopia’s Bureau of Finance and Economic Development of the Somali Region (BOFED). in the NGO sector, Mr Abdullahi  is involved in program leadership/ Managerial activities for Islamic Relief, Norwegian Church Aid, and Hope for the Horn, a local NGO in partnership with many UN agencies and some other relevant donors such as WFP, UNFPA, UNOCHA (HRF), UNHCR, FAO, COOPI, DFID, EEC, OFDA/GOAL, MSF.
