Background

Baar Environmental Solidarity (BES) is non-political, and non-profit local NGO established in Somalia with multi-various technical expertise all committed to stand-up and serve for the needs of the effected vulnerable Somali peoples and advocate for improvement and wellbeing of our environment, our mandate mainly focuses on environmental protection related issues, it deals with the number of issues including, protection of deforestation, land degradation, reducing aridity and overgrazing, water scarcity, waste disposal, climate change and ecosystem services.

Baar Environmental Solidarity vision is a world where humans live in harmony with nature, protecting the earth’s ecosystems and biodiversity for present and future and future generations, we envision a future where sustainable practices are integrated into every aspect of our daily life and where environmental stewardship is a collective responsibility, together we can create a sustainable future and ensure that our planet remains a beautiful, healthy home for generations to come.

we also strive to raise awareness about urgent need for action to address climate change and promote innovative solutions that reduce carbon emissions and create healthier world for the future.

Specific Objectives

Specific objectives of Baar Environmental Solidarity is to conserve and restore natural resources and ecosystems, this may involve preserving biodiversity, protecting endangered species, restoring degraded habitats, and promoting sustainable land and water management practices, we aim to address the impacts of climate change,land degradation and desertification,  BES is also will committed to work towards reducing pollution and improving waste management systems, this may involve raising awareness about the impacts of pollution on ecosystems and human health, advocating for stricter regulations, promoting recycling and waste reduction initiatives, and encouraging the adoption of sustainable waste management practices, we will also work to influence decision-makers and promote policies that prioritize sustainability and address environmental challenges effectively.
